A repairable 2.0 microwave, easy to clean and maintain, with removable ceramic inner panels, sliding parts to simplify access, and easy-to-install components. Touchscreen instructions make replacing a part as simple as clearing a paper jam from a copier. The exterior of the microwave can be easily customized, meaning that people are more likely to love it and care for it. The repairable microwave is one of the projects awarded in the “Design for (Your) Product Lifetime” design contest for products that can be repaired and will stand the test of time, even if some of their components need to be replaced.
