Company and designer go together to rethink the sofa according to the logic of circular design. Modular sofa Costume is repairable, long lasting, and can be easily dismantled to re-use each component for recycling by reason of a completely new construction method whereby the individual components are not permanently attached to each other.
The body is in rotational-molded recycled polyethylene using industrial waste from the furniture and car industry (and can be further recycled); the back and the seat use a pocket spring insert, allowing to use only a thin layer of polyurethane foam; everything is held together by the upholstery fabric, all fixed with straps that are removable by the user to replace worn parts over time.
