Pollinator Bio-Polyurethane Kit

Launched by American Checkerspot, Pollinator Kit is providing a specific cast polyurethane system USDA Certified Biobased Product, formulated with algae. The biobased resin can be used with the same tooling, molding materials, and processes used for fossil fuel-based cast polyurethane formulations, but can lessen the environmental impact, considering that each item made solely from the resin system will be ≥56% biobased. The unpigmented formulation accepts many types of colorants, both natural and synthetic, despite natural pigments are not UV resistant. Last but not least Kit’s packaging uses about 5X less plastic, minimize transportation emissions as they ship flat before filling and are lighter.
