Repair is Beautiful is a collection of objects on the borderline between art and design, where repair becomes a creative act of reclamation of objects “defeated” by time. An aesthetic meditation on a disposable society, also viewing repair as a stimulus for the imagination, something like the childhood activity of inventing new uses and new items out of broken toys. The collection includes a garden chair, a director’s chair, earphones, a 1950s table lamp for offices and even an iPod whose clip spring was broken, which has been fixed with a leftover bone.
